Over the past few years I've been asked to present interviews on stage with actors, writers and artists. I have also presented lectures on journalism and have presented after dinner speeches.​

I've presented guest lectures in journalism at Leeds University, Huddersfield University and Bradford University.



I've also presented on stage interviews at Leeds Grand Theatre with the cast of the National Theatre's show Travelling Light, at Hyde Park Picture House with the Quay Brothers (opposite) and at Ilkley Literature Festival I have interviewed on stage authors MY Alam, Sunjeev Sahota and at one event chaired a discussion with a panel including Lucy Mangan and Martin Wainwright of the Guardian and Ian Jack of The Independent.



In February 2012 I was asked to give an after dinner speech at the Airedale and Wharfedale Umpires' Association. Based on my cricket columns, the 40 minute speech also featured stories from my career in journalism.
